3 Ways Why Networking is Important for Pageant Queens

June 14, 2019

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. PLEASE READ MY DISCLOSURE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

These are my thoughts. I honestly think sometimes society takes pageant queens for granted. Many think we are superficial little girls who only care about crowns, gowns, and makeup. That may be true about some titleholders, but that is not the case for the majority of us. There is so much more to us than meets the eye. We are academicians, student leaders,  community leaders,  professionals, entrepreneurs, and business owners. We are movers and shakers, and we desire to operate in our purpose and our passions.

In order for titleholders to experience success in their reign and in their lives, I believe it is important for them to network and connect with like minded people . One way of doing this is by networking.  Networking is meeting people and building a relationship so they know you well enough recommend you to others. Networking can happen in formal or informal settings and in personal and professional contexts.

One way to network is by attending special events such as workshops, mixers,  brunches, or luncheons.  In my experience with networking, I have learned it can accomplish the following things:

  1. It introduces to you a new audience of people.
  2. It allows you to connect and develop relationships.
  3. It opens the door for new opportunities.

One networking event that I highly recommend is the Boss Babes Brunch Tour. The Boss Babes Brunch Tour was created by Jessica Alexander, Founder/CEO of Operation Evolve, LLC. Jessica is the former Miss Black Alabama USA 2014 and Miss Natural Hair and Health Beauty 2018, and  and she understands the importance of making connections on and off the stage.

Boss Babes Brunch Tour is the premier networking and empowerment brunch for women entrepreneurs, creatives, and leaders. This tour is visiting 21 cities across the United States and Canada to give women an afternoon of  Motivation, Mingling, and Mimosas! Each brunch features a dynamic speaker, panel of business experts, incredible vendors, and amazing sponsors.

If you are interested in attending, please purchase your tickets on EventBrite. Type in Boss Babes Brunch Tour, and find the location nearest you.  This year, I was selected to be an Ambassador for Boss Babes Brunch Tour, and you can use my special discount code KRYSTLE for $10 off the cost of your ticket.

If you have any questions about the event, send an email to info@operationevolve.com

Take the time to develop your networking skills by attending one of these events. You never know who you will meet on the tour that may connect you to the right person, organization, or industry you have been diligently seeking to assist you with your reign or personal goals. Put yourself out there, and network like a boss babe!
