Do You Know What Today Is? It’s My Blogiversary!

July 12, 2018

Do you know what today is?

It’s my blogiversary!

Yes, that is correct. I cannot believe it has been a whole three years since I started KrystleBell.com. Three is considered the number of harmony, wisdom, and understand.  I love the sound of that!

My blogging journey began in 2014 when I received the opportunity to serve as a guest blogger for NaturalGirlsRock.com. During that time, I was a Natural Girls Rock Global Brand Ambassador, and I was afforded the opportunity to guest post on their website. At the time I really did not know much about blogging, but I knew I wanted to share information about my own natural hair journey.

I really became acclimated with blogging by being an active follower of CourtneyLuv.com. CourtneyLuv.com was a fashion, arts, music, and entertainment site created by my sorority sister Courtney L. Teague. The more I read CourtneyLuv.com and followed Courtney’s journey, the more I became interested in the industry.

I then decided to pursue this new venture. I purchased and read her book Just Blog It Already, and I signed up for her Blogger University 101 course because I wanted to learn more about the industry. After taking Blogger University 101, I discovered that my primary niche was pageantry.

I have been in the pageantry industry off and on for over 15 years, and it is a topic that I love to read and talk about. I was confident that I had the knowledge and expertise to share that would be beneficial to women and girls in the industry.

After much procrastination, I finally made the decision to launch KrystleBell.com. I chose to name the site after myself because the majority of people who knew me associated my name with pageantry. Also, I knew my name would eventually morph into a well known brand. Yes, my name is my brand!

I published my first post on the site on July 12, 2015. I was nervous because I did not know if I would be successful in the blogging industry. I am now pleased to say I have experienced many accomplishments, and there are more to come.

  • I have been featured in Pageantry Magazine, Pageant Planet, and Huffington Post.
  • I have worked with brands such as The Hair Rock, Six Flags over Georgia, Tennessee Aquarium, Groupon, and Cars.com.
  • I have been nominated for a Prestige Pageant Media Award by the Prestige Pageantry Awards.
  • I have been featured on radio and television shows such as Crown Talk with Byrgundy Mallory, The Sharvette Mitchell Radio Show, The Pageant Cast, and ABC 33/40.

Throughout the course of 3 years, KrystleBell.com has become home to the following series:

  • Royal Spotlight
  • Pageant Girls Run
  • Krystle Clear Pageant Reviews
  • Krystle Clear Product Reviews
  • The Life of a Queenpreneur
  • Life after the Crown

What can you expect from KrystleBell.com in the future?

  1. Content, Content, and More Content

Content is QUEEN in the blogging space. It is my responsibility to continue to bring you “Krystle Clear” information on all things pageant related. I want my audience to be informed and educated about this fabulous industry so they can experience much success.

  1. Royal Spotlight Awards

Later this year, I will launch the Royal Spotlight Awards. This award will be presented to a queen who has been featured during the monthly royal spotlight interview series. Criteria will be released at a later date.

  1. Brand Partnerships

My goal is develop partnerships with major brands in the pageantry industry. This in turn will assist in offering my audience more content on brands they know and love. Who knows? I may even be able to offer some giveaways.

Blogging is indeed a marathon. You must stay the course in order to see the wins. There are highs, and there are definitely lows. One post may attract 500 visitors, and another post may only attract 5 visitors.

I am also learning patience when it comes to this industry. Rome was not built in a day, and KrystleBell.com is no exception. I am grateful for the blessings and opportunities God has bestowed upon me thus far. I will never lose sight of the reason I created this blog because that very reason will keep me focused on the end goal.

In commemoration of my 3 year blogiversary, I will be giving away a copy of my Amazon best seller Manifest the Crown: A Krystle Clear Guide to Pageantry Success.

The contest will available through July 31, 2018. ENTER TODAY by subscribing to the email list. If you are already subscribed to the email list, then you are already entered into the contest. A winner will be picked at random on August 1, 2018. Good  luck!
