I am officially out of retirement! Yes, you heard it correctly, and your favorite pageant content creator is going back to the stage. If you have been following me on Facebook or Instagram for the past few weeks, then you already know the news. I will be competing in the 4th Annual Miss Natural Hair and Health Expo Beauty Pageant!
The pageant will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex in Birmingham, Alabama. This pageant celebrates women ages 18 and over who have chosen not to chemically relax their hair. The pageant also provides an opportunity to spotlight and recognize women who have committed to embracing their natural texture and a natural lifestyle. This event coincides with the Natural Hair and Health Expo which is an all day event filled with vendors, fashion shows, speakers, and workshops.
I have had the privilege of attending the last 3 pageants, and it has always been a goal of mine to compete in this system. I was able to compete in the preliminary competition on Sunday, January 26, 2020, and I was chosen as one of the Natural 7 finalists. So far we have participated in a photoshoot, press conference, and VIP reception.

I am blessed to be a part of this wonderful group of phenomenal women, and I am enjoying the journey thus far.
