Life After the Crown with Cierra Jackson, Miss District of Columbia 2016

June 23, 2018

I am so excited!!!! Well, I have launched yet another series. I know I am doing the absolute most, but I love bringing you fresh and “Krystle Clear” pageantry related information and content.  This series is entitled “Life After the Crown.” I created this series because I wanted to interview former queens and get their perspective on how life is after the crown and what they foresee for their life moving forward.  My first guest in this series is the lovely Cierra Jackson, Miss District of Columbia 2016. Cierra won our hearts at the Miss America 2017 competition. She exhibited boldness and fierceness as she rocked her natural hair unapologetically on that very stage which is something you don’t see at Miss America. I initially became acquainted with Cierra when we both were profiled by the Pageant Planet in the Top 4 Pageant Hairstyles for Natural Hair.

Cierra wanted to do a little something different with this interview so she decided to provide the answers to the questions in a series of video blogs. Here is what she had to say.

Tell us about your experience competing as Miss District of Columbia at the Miss America 2017 Pageant.

What did you learn from your pageant experience?

How did your pageant experience prepare you for life after the crown?

What are you currently doing?

How can people keep up with you?

Do you have any final words?
