Yesterday, I had the pleasure of participating in the Pageant Experiences Research conducted by Dr. Ariane Prohaska. Dr. Prohaska is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She is conducting research to see how participants got involved in pageants, what it is like to prepare for and participate in pageants, and how the life experience has made them the persons they are today. The interview lasts between an hour and an hour and a half.
Dr. Prohaska is still seeking research participants for the study. The research is open to current and former pageant queens. It does not matter whether you have local, state, regional, or national pageant experience.
